5 Weeks Today!

I giggle a bit that I am posting that. It still seems so early, but according to my books-- lots is happening. Haven't really had any symptoms aside from sore boobs and serious bloating! I might curse these words...but I kind wish I would have a little bit of morning sickness--so I can feel like this is real! My energy level has been surprising good-- I have even wanted to go for a walk in the afternoons!

Your embryo (looking kind of like a tadpole) is starting to form major organs (heart, kidney, liver, stomach) and systems (nervous, circulatory, digestive). Baby's presence in your uterus triggers production of hCG (the hormone detected by pregnancy tests)... which triggers production of other hormones like estrogen and progesterone... which trigger all those great symptoms you've probably been noticing!
