OBX

Ahhh...vacation! Something so wonderful about just being able to say the "v" word! We headed out of CT on Friday- Edgewater, MD bound! Me, Liam and my sister set on the road at 8:30 on Friday morning. Glad to say-- we made it to MD around 4pm.  Took us a little longer than planned, but for the most part we had a great ride! Friday night we got to visit with friends. Liam and his buddy Jake were adorable! They got to sit and play for a while together-so cute!

Saturday morning we headed back out on the road again.  Mapquest said the ride would be about 6 hours.  To say there was traffic--would be an understatment. The whole "one road in, one road out" thing should really be reconsidered.  The ride ended up taking us about 8.5 hours. Liam was AWESOME! He is so good. He slept a ton, looked at the cars going by, watched some videos... was just perfect!

We were the last to arrive, but it worked out perfectly. We got here, ate dinner and got Liam settled for bed. Then it was time for tasty beverages and visiting! With 23 people all in one house drinks are plenty and stories very abundant. We have laughed a ton so far!

Yesterday we headed to the beach. Liam's first time. He was tired, but seemed to enjoy it.  He touched his toes in the water. I think the cold water was a little shock for him. He cried a little but quickly settled down.  All I can say is it was HOT on the beach. We lasted maybe 60 minutes and then we had to head back to the house. Nice thing about Outer Banks is most of the houses have their own pool. And our house is no exception! By the time we got back to the house- Liam was asleep in  the stroller. Gave me time to jump in the pool, enjoy a beer and  relax in the sun for a few minutes.

So far... it has been wonderful! Glad we still have 6 days! More to come...
